We couldn’t believe our luck with what we found on Muddy Matches.

“We still can’t believe our luck at having met a such a like-minded person. We are indebted to Muddy Matches.”

18 months single and 90% muddy, Oxfordshire mum of two gorgeous girls, Hannah took the bold decision to get back into the dating game.

The dog grooming divorcee, with a heart in the country and a passion for field sports, had hopes of starting a new chapter in life, following a particularly rough patch. However, she admitted online dating was ‘totally alien’ to her.

With rediscovered self-worth, esteem and confidence, it was then she met estate forester, and tree surgeon, Adam, whilst looking for love in the countryside on Muddy Matches in September 2021.

Gloucestershire single Adam was also looking for another shot of lifelong love having separated having been 11 years married. He too was nervous stepping into an unfamiliar online dating world; his online dating profile proclaimed, “Not a clue how to do this; here’s the best I can muster.”

His best, though, was more than good enough to catch the eye of Hannah. Their messaging exchanges were meaningful, considered and all about building on shared common ground.

They quickly bonded over box hedges, yarn, Hannah’s upcycled caravan ‘Betty’ and random hobbies like playing the trombone. The prospect of muddy dog walks, and other adventures, together was high with Adam’s setter ‘Gaston’, and Hannah’s trio of dogs in tow.

Hannah even had opportunity to air her ‘distant dream’ of owning a smallholding with rare breed goats, sheep and chickens, and ‘maybe an alpaca’. It sat extremely well with Adam’s appreciation of rural life. He admitted he ‘couldn’t help but get dragged into anything with the words hay, straw, mucking out and feeding orphan lambs, at the mention of a free dinner.”

“We’d both been single for nearly two years, and we were both convinced we’d never find anyone,” Hannah tells us via Instagram.

“We still can’t believe our luck at having met a such a like-minded person.”

That’s where rural dating, based upon shared lifestyle and rural goals, with Muddy Matches really comes into its own. A lot of the compatibility is easy to spot with profiles designed to champion the country life in wellies that singles who join us live and breathe.

17 months on from matching online, Hannah and Adam make the best country couple, knee deep in their corner of Oxfordshire

“We are very, very happy. We are now living together, and hoping to buy a place together next year.

“Without Muddy Matches, we’d have never found each other, being from different counties, so we are indebted to you.”

It’s our pleasure.
