Why hearing of ‘something old, something new’ never leaves us feeling somewhat blue.

Few things in life please the Muddy Matches team more than to hear of wedding plans, and engagements, of country couples we have helped match.

The balmy days of summer always bring a welcome flurry of emails into our lovely customer care girls, from plenty of happy mud lovers, each updating us on how their relationships have bloomed since meeting online.

Updates come from all walks of country life, and from couples at all stages of their partnership; from those just starting out on a fledgling relationship they believe has legs, to the mention of wedding bells, proposals, and starting a family.

Not only it is real, honest proof that country life dating really does work, when done with patience, openddmindedness and commitment, but also that Muddy Matches’ focus on lifestyle matching does inspire healthy, meaningful partnerships that last the test of time.

There’s something about hearing of an upcoming muddy wedding day though that really brings the feel good factor; and we can’t help help but shout it from the top of the haybales.

That’s certainly the case for 68-year-old divorcee Charles, a 90% muddy retired land surveyor and antiques enthusiast, from Northumberland.

From his wooden cottage on the banks of the River Tyne, Charles joined Muddy Matches in November 2019 looking for a second shot at a happy ever after.  He was hoping to unearth an ‘environmentally aware, female companion’ to spend ‘quality time’ with; someone who appreciates fine food and wine, and was keen on adventure travel.

Well, we are delighted to report that Charles has found his ‘Muddy Match’ and, last month they tied the knot on 18 July.
