As seen on TV! Meghan Markle lookalike joins Muddy Matches hoping to unearth her muddy Prince Charming after a spot of ‘Cabin’ fever on ITV2

A mud-loving Meghan Markle lookalike, who was a finalist in a televised ITV quest to find the perfect princess impersonator, is now on a search of her own to unearth her muddy Prince Charming after joining Muddy Matches – the UK’s original home of farmer dating.

Ashleigh, 23 who has family roots on a smallholding in rural Somerset and quotes a love of hiking and horse riding amongst the countryside credentials on her profile, reached the final 3 in the right royal doppelganger contest ‘Have you got the Meghan Sparkle?’ on ITV’s breakfast show ‘Lorraine’ ahead of the Royal Wedding, 3 years ago.

She also recently appeared on ITV2’S The Cabins – a lockdown friendly reality TV show in which matched singletons bubbled up for 24/7 life together in luxury woodland lodges deep in the Cheshire countryside.

The Bristolian was paired with 25-year-old Wiltshire farmer Stuart but left in the friends’ zone and not as an ‘exclusive Cabin Couple’ as many viewer had hoped. Her passion for a man in wellies remains though and she is inviting country gents from all walks of country life to get in touch via Muddy Matches, the UK’s leading country life online dating service.

A hairdresser by trade, Ashleigh is ideally looking to connect with ‘a cheeky chap with good banter’ who can make her laugh, preferably under the age of 28, who has farming roots and enjoys life in the country.

Importantly, any potential suitor must own his own wellies!

Ashleigh, who feels the time is right for a serious relationship, says the Meghan Markle ‘thing’ was “a great experience and a bit of fun at the time” – but she insists she is no Duchess diva in real life. She is not afraid of a bit of mud, is happy to muck in and is ready and willing to get her hands dirty.

“I am hoping to find someone who can give me that spark for the long term!”

Muddy Matches are no strangers to royal connection having been afforded a welcome royal endorsement inn ITV documentary on life on the HRH Prince of Wales Duchy estate which featured a couple of pig farmers who had previously met on Muddy Matches.

The namecheck in the two-part Prince Charles documentary created a 400% overnight surge of interest and registration to the online dating service and a wave of interest from global singletons exploring more about Muddy Matches.
