Quick Date Ideas

Sometimes life gets so busy that it will start to feel like you cannot make time for dating. Signing up for Muddy Matches is quick and you only need to write a few lines about yourself, which doesn’t take too long at all, but going on lots of dates takes more than a few minutes.

Here are some date ideas that you can complete within an hour, without it looking like you are trying to run off.

Lunch date

If you work near to each other, you could fit a date into your lunch break. Choose a nice cafe where you can chat while eating your lunch. Opt for somewhere that is busy enough so that you don’t feel like you are being overheard, but not so busy that you are wedged into a corner between a buggy and the toilet.

Coffee date

Meeting for a coffee is a popular ‘pre-date date’, or ‘micro-date’ idea as it allows you to get to establish whether or not you fancy someone, without committing to a full date. If things don’t go well, you can end your date within half an hour, but if you do want to see each other for longer, you can take a bit more time and can arrange a longer second date.

Go for a walk in the park

Walking around a small and busy public park will give you the opportunity to talk to one another, without committing to exploring a vast landscaped garden (which would be a nice idea for an extended date). If you have well-behaved and sociable dogs, you could even combine your first date with a dog walk.

After work drink date

Going for an after work drink sets a time limit if you have to get up early the next date and will hopefully ensure that you don’t have too much to drink. One drink and a get to know you conversation will take less than an hour and allow you to get back to all of your tasks.
