Avoid Dating these People

Online dating websites are a great place to find someone with whom you can spend the rest of your life. However there are some people who you should avoid at all costs…

Married people

At Muddy Matches we only allow single, separated, divorced, or widowed people to join the website as we do not wish to encourage infidelity. However, there will always be people who pretend to be single for a number of reasons — they’re looking for an ego boost (to prove that they are still attractive), they’re unhappy in their relationship but are scared of being single forever if they break up with their partner, they’re worried about breaking up a family…

No matter what their reason is, it is not a good starting point for a relationship. If you choose to date someone who is already married, you will always be a secondary thought as they try to maintain a semblance of normality in their existing relationship. They may promise to break up with their current partner as soon as possible, but even if they do it will not be a simple process and there will be a lot of hurt all round.

Even if you think that it is for the best, their family will see you as the person who broke up a marriage (even if it was on the brink of failure anyway and it was their choice).

Newly single people

Being the rebound is also an uncomfortable start to a relationship. It can work, but there is always the worry that they found you straight away as they were scared of being on their own. There will also be the complications of having an ex appear on the scene to collect their belongings, or to sort out housing contracts if they used to live together.

It is always healthier to have a gap between relationships to allow yourself to heal and to find out who you are as a person without being part of a couple.

Scammers

Most scammers never get to the point of actually meeting their intended victim, but some of them go beyond asking for money up front and gradually try to win over a person face-to-face.

If you are ever unsure about someone, contact the website administrator straight away so that they can investigate for you.  Also, never ever give money to someone whom you barely know. If your new partner claims to need a large sum of money immediately, it is best to put them on to an independent financial advice service.
