Make Dating Fit Your Lifestyle

Saturday, May 13th, 2017

A lot of people are put off dating because they feel that finding a new partner would take too much effort, or they feel that they are just too used to their current lifestyle for someone new to come along and change things.

However, online dating does not need to be a lot of effort and you can find someone who will fit in with your busy lifestyle.

Making dating easy

  1. Make sure that your profile tells people who you are and what you are looking for in a potential partner. This will mean that you won’t get lots of contact from people who are completely unsuitable for you.
  2. Save a search criteria so that you don’t have to set up a new search each time you go online to look for people.
  3. Be proactive and be the first to make a move. By making the first move, you can get things moving instead of waiting for people to get in touch with you.
  4. Arrange a coffee date instead of a dinner date if you don’t have a lot of time to spare. An hour spent together having a cup of tea, or coffee, is enough time to see whether you like someone, or not.

Fitting in with your lifestyle

You do not need to turn your whole life upside down when you start to date someone. Make it clear from the start if you are looking for an occasional companion to join you for fun activities, while still retaining your independence. Or, if you are looking for someone to spend a lot of your spare time with, but you prefer to live on your own, let your date know your intentions once you get to know each other well.

Another option if you have a busy lifestyle is to meet someone who shares the same interests as you. For example, if you spend the weekends showing your animals at country shows, you might wish to find someone who also spends their weekends at country shows so that you will both fit in with each other’s schedules.
