New book champions Muddy Matches’ dating success stories

Friday, March 10th, 2023

This week, the Muddy Matches team stumbled across a feature on rural romance in rural Ireland that championed some of our success stories and celebrated our roots as ‘an early adopter’ in countryside dating.

The feature on Agriland Ireland (Caroline Allen) explored ways of dating when you are muddy minded and drew lots of conversation.

It was based around a book by Liadan Hynes called ‘Courting, Tractor Dates, Macra babies and swiping right in rural Ireland’. Muddy Matches also get plenty of celebratory namechecks in the book as well.

Agriland is recognised as Ireland’s ‘largest farming news network’.

The Irish singles community on Muddy Matches has undergone huge growth in the past 12 months, with a rise of 81% in sign-ups being enjoyed in the last 12 months. A 37% increase in web searches, originating in Ireland, is also reported as rural dating with us gains popularity.

Cork has seen registration growth of 566%, Dublin stands at 78% and web visits from Wexford are up 300%. Galway is also a muddy hot spot.

For over 15 years now, Muddy Matches has been well trusted as the UK and Ireland’s original, online home of rural dating and farmer dating. Country singles say it it THE ‘go-to’ website on which to find love in the countryside.
