Dating Profile Spring Clean
Friday, March 03rd, 2017
As the daffodils bloom and the trees start to look less bare it’s time to start a bit of spring cleaning. We have no interest in how clean your cupboards are, but we are keen to show you how to spring clean your online dating profile.
Remove any reference to your age
You don’t need to write your age in your dating profile text as it will auto-update from the date of birth that you entered at the start. If you have added it to your profile, it will show people how long you have been on the website for if your two ages don’t match up.
Upload some new photos
Have you recently been away, or had a family party where lots of people took photos of you? If so, now’s the time to add the photos to your online dating profile. New photos will add more interest to your profile and will give people a more up-to-date idea of what you look like.
Cut it down or add more information
The ideal dating profile is about 300 words long, which means that it is a similar length to this blog post. If you have only written one, or two lines, now is the time to go back and add some more information about who you are and what you enjoy doing. If you have written a really lengthy profile, go back and take out any of the excess information as many people can be put off by too many words.
Share your current plans
Are you about to start a new job, or are you in training for a charity event? Add your new update to your dating profile so that you can spark conversation with someone who is in a similar situation to yourself.
Add a question
It can be difficult to know what to write in a dating message to someone. Adding a question at the end of your dating profile will give someone an easy opening when they wish to get in touch with you.
