Moving In Together
Jane and Duncan’s Story Featured in The Times
We were delighted to see a feature on Jane and Duncan in the Marriages and Engagements section of The Times.
The couple started chatting on Muddy Matches back in 2007 and were in fact some of the very first people to join the website. Jane was a university friend of Emma, one of the website’s co-founders, and Duncan was a friend of a friend who had heard about the launch of the site. Both of them joined to help support a fledgling business and ended up finding true love in the process! However, as you will read in the article below (just click on it to enlarge) it wasn’t a speedy romance – in fact they didn’t actually meet until 2 years after they had first emailed each other! Despite the fact that they lived hundreds of miles apart, when they did meet they were clearly perfect for each other and the couple are now very happily living together and will be getting married in April 2012.
We are going to spend the rest of our lives together…
“Hi guys,
I just wanted to let you know that a year ago this week I went on my first date with a farmer I met on Muddy Matches…I moved onto the farm over six months ago and we are certain that we are going to spend the rest of our lives together. We still cannot believe it. I never really believed in online dating but there’s no way I would have ever met my man any other way.
Thank you!” Mandi

We are off on our honeymoon to Oz next weekend…
“Thank you so much for finding my now wife ! We are off on our honeymoon to Oz next weekend. Although we weren’t on your site for long as we met each other on our first attempt but that was all it needed. That’s the benefit of having a slightly more narrower type of person on here with generally at least one thing in common, Country Life ! (Not the butter !)” Oli and Kirstie x
I proposed on the steps of York Minster…
Back in April we received a fantastic success story from Lucy about how she had met Nick through Muddy Matches. We are very pleased to announce that they have now become engaged, with a date set to get married in September 2012. The couple were recently interviewed in an article in The Sunday Telegraph’s Stella Magazine. Nick said, “I proposed on the steps of York Minster. In my day-sack I had a bottle of chilled champagne and two flutes, engraved with ‘Nick and Lucy’s engagement, 2 July 2011′.”

Sceptical about Internet dating…
“Hi team!
Just to say was very sceptical about Internet dating when I was persuaded by a friend of mine to join, however I have been proved wrong!! Have met someone very special through Muddy Matches, life is now on the up, we moved in together this week! So thanks guys for helping me to find the man I have long been looking for.
Best wishes” Emma
