Do you think you’ve got what it takes to be on television?  If so, read on….

A lady from Reef TV called us the other day regarding a new series they’re developing about the countryside and, apparently, they’re looking for young, good-looking ‘muddy’ types who might want to be a part of it.  This is what she said:

“The series is a magazine show about country life and rural pursuits, and covers a wide range of subjects including everything from farming to food, country hotels, architecture, ecology, sport, social events etc, etc.  But forget Countryfile and John Craven and men with beards – this show aims to explore the countryside in a new light and make it glossy, beautiful, young, trendy and aspirational.

As such we’re looking for young, good-looking people who are passionate about the countryside and/or have an in-depth knowledge of a particular aspect of it.  The list of the kind of people that we are looking for is broad and by no means definitive – but it does include the likes of farmers, ecologists, equine scientists, architects, estate owners, land managers, game keepers, fishermen, tree surgeons/foresters, horticulturalists, vets, country hoteliers, chefs, sportsmen, etc.  If you fit the bill or know of anyone else who does, we’re really keen to hear from you.

Although we are eventually looking for five or six people to front the series, at this stage we’d love to have a chat with anyone interested in any aspect of it, and to find out a bit more about your expertise and interests.”
