Upcoming Countryside Events
Spring is in the air and planning for the big countryside festivals is in full-swing; in fact we’re adding more dates to the countryside calendar each week as the events organisers announce the dates, so that you can plan for the year ahead. We’ll also be adding to the Who’s Going? page so that you can arrange to meet up with other members at events across the UK and Ireland.
Although many of the countryside shows and agricultural events happen in the summer time and early autumn, the springtime is a great time for point-to-point events if you’re looking for an outdoor date idea. Point-to-points make a fantastic first date idea as you can get to know each other through a shared interest and in a public place. You don’t even have to be a horse lover to enjoy a day out at a point-to-point as there is a fantastic atmosphere at the events.
Our countryside calendar contains a link to every point-to-point in the UK and Ireland, so you don’t need to go anywhere else to start planning an equestrian date
Calling All Gay Farmers…
This year we have had a lot of interest in having a gay table at the Mud Lovers Ball and we are hoping to put a table together, so that gay farmers and countryside lovers can meet other gay rural people and enjoy a great night out.
The event will be held on 20th October at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire and attracts members and non-members from across the UK and Ireland.
For £62.50 you will receive a welcome drink, a three-course meal and wine to share at your table. There will also be live entertainment throughout the night, including a band and indoor laser shooting.
To book a ticket for the gay table at the Mud Lovers Ball, you can either ring us on 01933 311500 and pay over the phone, or book online.
If you are booking online, please book a ‘wingman discount’ ticket.
Bag Yourself a Date at the CLA Game Fair!

Are you Fair Game? We are currently looking for fun-loving muddy people to take part in the dating show. It’s going to be a very light-hearted and tongue-in-cheek event, so if you, or any of your friends, are single and game for a laugh, why not give it a go…you only live once! We need men and women of all ages to apply, and those chosen to take part could end up being whisked off to enjoy a romantic picnic in the grounds of Blenheim Palace.

"Just a quick thank you for a fab night on saturday night. It was brilliant, totally like a YFC party everybody was so friendly and the games were such an ice breaker. Next year I think we'll bring more of the muddy theme into it. Great to me the Eastern rep, she was lovely too. "
